Church plant in the South of Zimbabwe - 28 August 2010

Rom 10:14..."How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"
There is a saying in Africa that says once you have walked with your bare feet on African soil, Africa climbs into your veins and blood and you will always leave with a longing in your heart to return.
It’s not quite clear whether this is entirely the case with a long term friend of ACTS, Paul Rummage, but what is certain is that God has placed Zimbabwe on Paul’s heart and that this calling sees him return to this beautiful country, time and time again.
This time around Paul returned with 12 people from Oklahoma to assist in planting a church in the beautiful and dusty south of the country.
Paul grew up in Zimbabwe as a child of missionaries and it is humbling to see multiple generations of a single family faithfully giving themselves to the cause of Christ in this country. Paul’s father Ralph, now well into his 80’s returned with the team to say his goodbyes (camping at that!). There is a tremendous respect for age in Africa and the people responded warmly to an older statesman still able to preach away in Shona. Some of the ACTS office staff were able to join the team for a few days, serving as a reminder of what an honour and pleasure it is to be a small part of what God is doing on this amazing continent.
“Your crew were superb, there wasn’t a bolt out of place” – Paul Rummage
